Emerging Leaders Scholarship
Notre Dame Vision is deeply committed to working with Catholic parishes, high schools, and dioceses to identify, uplift, and form new leaders within our faith communities and for the Church. To this end, Vision offers a special scholarship for “Emerging Leaders” through a generous grant from the Our Sunday Visitor Institute.
Emerging Leaders fall into one of three categories:
Young men and women who will benefit from leadership development to become
more effective, confident, and faith-filled leaders in their own communities.
Young men and women interested in exploring a vocation to priesthood or religious life.
Young men and women who may lack the financial means to otherwise attend Vision.
The scholarships will cover up to $325 of the $475 total registration fee for Notre Dame Vision.
What are the requirements for nomination?
Nominations for the Emerging Leaders Scholarship require all of the following:
The nominee will complete the Notre Dame Vision application marked for "Emerging Leaders" included in the Nomination Packet. If a nominee has already submitted an application to Notre Dame Vision prior to being nominated for the scholarship, please simply note this fact when submitting the nomination materials--i.e., no second application is required.
The nominee will write a two-part essay of at least 200 words and no more than 600 words total. The prompt for the essay is included in the Nomination Packet.
A nominator will compose and submit a brief nomination letter. Instructions for this letter are also included in the Nomination Packet.
The application, essay and nomination letter are mailed along with the $100 deposit to the Notre Dame Vision office to arrive before the deadline.
All nomination materials must be received in the Notre Dame Vision Office together in one package (not postmarked) no later than February 26, 2018.
