Science & Religion Initiative - Seminars 2018 Applications
Science & Religion Initiative - Seminars 2018
We welcome your school's application to our Science & Religion Foundation Seminars 2018.
The Foundations Seminars will be offered at two locations: University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN (June 17-22) and Notre Dame Seminary, New Orleans, LA (June 24-29). Participants will be placed based on the reviewers' assessment of the particular needs expressed in the application. Foundations Notre Dame will be live streamed and accepts schools who apply with a team of more than three teachers. Foundations New Orleans is limited to 3 teachers per school and requires on-site participation.
Review of all applications will begin November 1, 2017. Successful applicants will be notified of admission decisions by December 2, 2017.
IMPORTANT: Please submit the names of all teacher of your school who would like to participate in the seminar in one single application. While we do not require a minimum of three teachers from each school - one from each subject area of biology, physics/chemistry, and religion/theology - those schools choosing to send three teachers representing these academic subjects will receive first priority.
Please note that you will also need to submit brief essays to the following three questions which will help us to evaluate your specific needs:
(1) Explain why you think your school would be successful in implementing the recommendations made at the Science and Religion Seminar.
(2) Have your teachers worked together in the past to implement a curriculum that integrates science and religion?
(3) How will participation in the seminar help your school, and ultimately your diocese?
Thank you again for your application.
