What is this conference?
An executive seminar for trustees of Catholic colleges and universities.
Why is this important?
Trustees of Catholic colleges and universities have a fiduciary responsibility for the Catholic character, identity, and mission of their institutions. In order to serve effectively, they must fully understand what their responsibilities entail and develop the practical skills necessary for fulfilling them.
What is the focus?
The seminar will emphasize three ways in which the president and trustees are charged with
exercising fiduciary responsibility with respect to Catholic character, identity, and mission:

Identifying the specific ways a Catholic college or university serves the Church in its academic life, student life, and other activities;

Developing, enriching, and assessing distinctively Catholic content across all collegiate departments and divisions;
- Clarifying the central integrating role theology plays in a Catholic college or university.
Conference Information:
The seminar will take place from 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, through 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Please let us know if you are interested in attending this special event. Space is limited.
Because programs such as this are more effective if a number of trustees attend from the same institution, a participating college or university is asked to send a team of participants: the president and two or more trustees. The costs for the executive seminar are $1,800 for the first person, then $1,500 for each additional person. The fees cover seminar materials, accommodations for two nights, and all meals and hospitality.
