2nd Annual International Crèche Display and Pilgrimage
"The angel's song the wonder tells:
now love incarnate with us dwells!
Gloria! Gloria in excelsis Deo!"
~ O. Hearken Ye, by Alfred S. Burt & Wihla Hutson, 1953
November 18, 2015 – January 31, 2016:
With a theme this year of “Love Incarnate With Us Dwells,” this annual event contemplates the tenderness of God revealed in the nativity sets on display, inviting families to celebrate the seasons of Advent and Christmas. The thirty-three visual representations from nineteen countries are on display at five locations on the campus of Notre Dame: the Eck Visitors Center, the Morris Inn, the Coleman-Morse Center, Geddes Hall and the Main Building. Booklets and QRs for self-guided tours are available at each location. See here for a pdf. of the booklet.
November 18 at 7:30 pm:
To mark the opening of the display, please join us in the Eck Visitors Center auditorium for a lecture from Professor Timothy O'Malley entitled, "Dwelling with Love Incarnate: Living the Mystery of the Nativity in Family Life." Professor O'Malley will speak about what it means to live the mystery of the nativity in family life. The lecture is free and open to the public.
December 6 at 2:30pm:
